SP 172
Where a radioactive material has (a) subsidiary hazard(s): (a) The substance shall be allocated to packing group I, II or III, if appropriate, by application of the packing group criteria provided in Part 2 corresponding to the nature of the predominant subsidiary hazard; (b) Packages shall be labelled with subsidiary hazard labels corresponding to each subsidiary risk exhibited by the material; corresponding placards shall be affixed to cargo transport units in accordance with the relevant provisions of 5.3.1; (c) For the purposes of documentation and package marking, the proper shipping name shall be supplemented with the name of the constituents which most predominantly contribute to this (these) subsidiary hazard(s) and which shall be enclosed in parenthesis; (d) The dangerous goods transport document shall indicate the label model number(s) corresponding to each subsidiary hazard in parenthesis after the Class number "7" and, where assigned the packing group as required by 5.4.1.1.1 (d). "Fissileexcepted" applies only to those fissile material and packages containing fissile material which are excepted in accordance with 2.2.7.2.3.5.

In the case of nonfissile or fissile excepted uranium hexafluoride, the material shall be classified under UN No. 2978.
SP 337
Type B(U) and Type B(M) packages, if carried by air, shall not contain activities greater than the following: (a) For low dispersible radioactive material: as authorized for the package design as specified in the certificate of approval; (b) For special form radioactive material: 3 000 A₁ or 100 000 A₂, whichever is the lower; or (c) For all other radioactive material: 3 000 A₂.
